Chainlink Spring 2023 Hackathon Winners Announced

The Chainlink Hackathon 2023 has concluded, showcasing the immense talent and innovation within the blockchain community. There were over 14,000 registrants and more than 498 project submissions originating from more than 100 countries.

A notable highlight of this year’s hackathon was the diversity of participants, with nearly 40% of registrants being individuals who had little to no prior experience in building with blockchain technology. 

The spring edition of the Chainlink Hackathon awarded $400,000+ in prizes, acknowledging outstanding contributions across a wide array of categories. The prizes were distributed as follows:

• Grand Prize
• Tech for Good Prizes (x2)
• NFTs and Gaming Prize
• DeFi Prize
• AI Prize
• Chainlink Services Prizes (x3)
• DAO Prize
• Women in Tech Prize
• Top-Quality Prizes (x40)

The Grand Prize, with a value of $25,000, was awarded to “Securechain.” The project presented a hybrid transfer validation system to secure NFTs and tokens stored in hot wallets from wallet-draining attacks.

Offramp Joins Chainlink BUILD

OfframpXYZ has joined Chainlink BUILD for enhanced access to Chainlink’s industry-leading Oracle services and technical support, which will help support the security and use of Web3’s decentralized on/off-ramp.

” Our participation in BUILD furthers our integration with Chainlink, with added benefits of priority support from the Chainlink ecosystem, increased access to dApps needing a decentralized on/offramp, and stronger incentive alignment between the Chainlink and Offramp communities,” Offramp protocol said in a statement. 

With Chainlink Data Feeds, Offramp can highly secure, reliable, and decentralized off-chain data needed to power their protocol. In return, Offramp will provide 4% of its total native token supply to Chainlink service providers, including stakers. Get the complete list of winners here.

Celo Mainnet Now Supports Chainlink Data Feeds

Celo developers can now create secure, mobile-first DeFi apps using Chainlink’s secure, reliable, and low-cost price data feeds.

As a result of Chainlink Data Feeds, the developers can build advanced DeFi applications that can be accessed from anywhere using a mobile phone. Further, with a host of Chainlink Data Feeds constantly rolled out to meet ecosystem demands, Celo users will be able to take advantage of a new wave of innovative DeFi dApps.

“Chainlink Data Feeds will empower Celo developers, providing critical access to Oracle data and services and bolster Celo’s dApps to drive real-world impact and solutions,” says Xochitl Cazador, Head of Ecosystem Growth at the Celo Foundation.
