Blockchain Meets E-Commerce in New Solana ($SOL) Deal

On August 23, 2023, the Solana Foundation announced a new partnership with e-commerce global giant Shopify. According to the Foundation, Solana Pay (a P2P open-source decentralized payments protocol) will now be available as a payment option for customers on Shopify.

Despite this development, $SOL lost 5.53% in September. On September 3, $SOL traded at $19.47, but dropped to $18.36 by September 10. Yet, analysts say $SOL may surge in Q4 2023 due to its steady ecosystem growth and developments.

Sui Executive Speaks on the Network’s Role in Commerce

On September 10, Lola Oyelayo-Pearson, the director of Commerce Products at Mysten Labs, spoke on blockchain infrastructure and its role in the commerce industry. Mysten Labs is the company behind Sui, and Oyelayo-Pearson said Sui’s scalability and superfast speed allow solutions that utilize zero knowledge frameworks to serve real-time internet queries.

Experts say Sui may sign new e-commerce partnerships in the next few weeks. Sui recorded a significant price surge in August after $SUI moved from $0.4761 on August 18 to $0.6150 on August 23, gaining 29.12%.

However, Sui bowed to bearish crypto market conditions, and $SUI is currently trading at $4.549 on September 10. Analysts say $SUI is a good crypto to buy because the token is set to surge in Q4 2023, thanks to returning late-year investors.
