This event plays out across five distinct planes, each designed to challenge your decision-making and character progression. You will confront a series of trials, ranging from defeating waves of empowered enemies on a clock to chasing down and capturing wily Warp Trotters. With this guide as your compass, we’ll provide you with the best teams to take for each challenge so that you can secure all the rewards this event has to offer.

How To Unlock Planar Infinity

Completing Simulated Universe World 5 unlocks Planar Infinity

To access the Planar Infinity event, you must first complete World 5 of the Simulated Universe.

Upon completion, visit Herta in her office to initiate the Planar Infinity Adventure Mission. Afterward, the event can be accessed directly from the Simulated Universe portal.

What Is Planar Infinity?

Planar Infinity invites you to conquer five specialized planes within the Simulated Universe, each with unique rules and buffs aimed at maximizing your haul of Blessings, Curios, and Cosmic Fragments.

Each plane is separated into two stages: the Ordinary Plane and the Final Trial. After navigating the Ordinary Plane, which plays similarly to a standard Simulated Universe run, you’ll engage in the Final Trial. This turn-limited battle gauntlet features eight waves of progressively tougher enemies.

The choices you’ve made — your selection of Blessings and the characters you’ve deployed — will be pivotal as you strive to clear as many waves as possible for the highest score and best rewards.

After finalizing an exploration in the Ordinary Plane, you’ll receive Simulated Universe Points based on the progress made during that exploration.

How To Clear Infinite Expansion Curio Plane

Details of the Infinite Expansion Curio Plane in Honkai Star Rail Planar Infinity event

The Infinite Expansion Curio Plane’s unique twist is that it encourages you to break everything in sight to reap a bounty of Curios and Cosmic Fragments. This is courtesy of the Cosmic Big Lotto Curio (Infinite) and Omniscient Capsule (Infinite) given to you at the start — so expect to have what feels like an unlimited supply of buffs by the end.

This plane also has a Domain: Adventure in the form of a timed challenge in which you have to break as many barrels as possible, with even more rewards up for grabs.

For the easiest time, use either Jingliu (for her AoE ice technique) or Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae (for his dash technique). If you have neither, opt for a character with a wide-ranged attack (to destroy multiple barrels at once).

DoT (Damage over Time) Team

Path: Nihility | Blessings: Nihility, The Hunt, Abundance, Preservation

The first plane will be teeming with large waves of enemies. As such, a DoT team led by Kafka will work well due to her ability to bring down the health of numerous enemies at the same time. Leverage the Nihility Path for Blessings to bolster the effectiveness of your DoTs, and utilize the Path Resonance to apply a barrage of AoE DoT effects. This ensures enemies will take substantial damage consistently — during your turns and whenever they act.

Character	Explanation
Kafka	Kafka acts as the cornerstone of the team thanks to her ability to trigger all DoT effects on multiple enemies at once. This is made even more effective when paired with the Nihility Path Resonance that stacks an abundance of DoTs on all foes upon use.
Luka	The Bleed DoTs inflicted by Luka scale with a target’s max HP, which will rapidly deplete the large health pools of enemies in the Final Trial. His Ultimate also increases damage taken by targets, intensifying the already formidable DoT effects. You can also use Sampo or Guinaifen instead for Wind Shear and Burn DoTs respectively.
Silver Wolf	Silver Wolf is able to significantly amplify the damage dealt by your DoTs by reducing the defenses of enemies. You can also use Pela, who has the advantage of being able to lower the defense of multiple targets simultaneously.
Luocha	Luocha serves as an invaluable healer, offering enough sustain to maintain your team’s health single handedly. If you don’t have him, opt for Fu Xuan. Otherwise, any other healer or shielder can fill the role, though you may need to make up for it with additional Abundance or Preservation Blessings.

Follow-Up Attack Team

Path: Elation | Blessings: Elation, The Hunt, Abundance, Preservation

Jing Yuan and Clara shine on the Elation Path, delivering potent follow-up attacks with AoE reach — a crucial advantage against the swarms of enemies faced in this plane. You can also consider replacing Clara with Bronya or Asta, transforming the team into a hyper-carry setup centered around Jing Yuan and his Lightning Lord.

Character	Explanation
Jing Yuan	Jing Yuan stands as the linchpin of the Follow-up Attack Team, wielding the Lightning Lord mechanic to deliver a torrent of Lightning damage across multiple targets. This damage is further increased by Tingyun’s buffs and the Blessings from the Path of Elation.
Clara	Clara adeptly balances offense and defense. Through her Ultimate, she is able to protect the team’s more vulnerable members like Tingyun, and in turn, retaliate with powerful counterattacks (treated as Follow-up Attacks). You can also replace Clara with a Harmony or Nihility unit (eg. Asta or Pela) to shift the focus entirely onto maximizing Jing Yuan’s damage.
Tingyun	Tingyun augments your DPS characters’ damage while supplying essential energy to teammates, keeping Jing Yuan or Clara’s Ultimates up more often. Though Tingyun is optimal, Asta or Bronya can serve as alternatives in her stead.
Luocha	Luocha serves as an invaluable healer, offering enough sustain to maintain your team’s health single handedly. If you don’t have him, opt for Fu Xuan. How To Clear Infinite Expansion Nurture Plane

The Infinite Expansion Nurture Plane is completely filled with Domain Occurrences, save for the inevitable final boss confrontation.

A key Occurrence that you’ll want to look out for is Ruan Mei (Infinite), as she can either grant the entirety of blessings from a random path or provide a substantial bounty of 2000 Cosmic Fragments. This encounter shapes the rest of the run, providing a substantial boost to your characters. If you want optimal conditions, restarting the plane is a valid strategy, given how early Ruan Mei appears.

Mono-Fire Follow-up Attack Team

Path: Elation | Blessings: Elation, The Hunt, Abundance, Preservation

In this second plane dominated by fire-weak enemies, the Mono-Fire follow-up attack team emerges as a top strategy. Himeko and Topaz excel at the forefront, effortlessly incinerating enemy toughness bars. Furthermore, each Weakness break primes Himeko for a potent Follow-up Attack that is bolstered by the Path of Elation, and Topaz’s Proof of Debt debuff.

Character	Explanation
Himeko	Himeko brings to the table consistent AoE damage, melting down multiple foes simultaneously. She also takes advantage of the constant weakness breaks to deal substantial follow-up damage.
Topaz and Numby	Topaz significantly ramps up the output of the team by increasing the damage enemies take from follow-up attacks via her Proof of Debt debuff, turning each of your damage dealer’s attacks into fiery spectacles.
Asta	Asta boosts the attack and speed of your mono-Fire team, enabling swift and fierce follow-up attacks. Her skill also offers exceptional toughness-breaking capabilities. Tingyun or Silver Wolf are fine substitutes, though they lack the specific synergy that Asta brings to the team, and aren’t free, unlike Asta.
Fu Xuan	Fu Xuan, with her damage mitigation and self-sustain capabilities, anchors the team’s defense. Her ability to preserve the team’s vitality while supplying the team with an increased Crit Rate ensures that the Mono-Fire squad can take on even the most grueling encounters. Luocha makes for a fantastic alternative if you don’t have Fu Xuan.

Seele Hyper Carry Team

Path: The Hunt | Blessings: The Hunt, Abundance, Preservation

You can also opt for a Hyper Carry Team strategy on the second plane, employing the Path of The Hunt to enhance your main DPS’s stats significantly. This approach revolves around Seele or another high-damage unit in tandem with Silver Wolf, focusing on gaining multiple Action Forwards via various Hunt Blessings, allowing your main DPS to make consecutive high-damaging attacks in a row.

Character	Explanation
Seele	As the team’s main DPS, Seele excels in breaching Quantum toughness and defeating foes with her potent single-target attacks — and then attacking again right after. While Seele is the preferred choice, other S-tier DPS options like Jingliu or Blade can also fill this role adequately when paired with Silver Wolf.
Silver Wolf	Silver Wolf serves as the defense shredder of the team, capable of both lowering the defense of enemies and implanting weaknesses. If you’re using Seele as the main DPS, you can opt for Bronya or Tingyun in this spot instead.
Bronya	Bronya, with her array of buffs, increasing Seele’s attack strength and critical damage, optimizing her battle effectiveness. Alternatively, Tingyun offers similar support, augmenting Seele’s damage and providing additional opportunities to activate her Ultimate.
Fu Xuan	Fu Xuan rounds out the team as the healer and buffer. Beyond just healing, she can mitigate debuffs, bolster resistances, and increase the Crit Rate of your allies. Luocha makes for a fantastic alternative if you don’t have Fu Xuan.

How To Clear Infinite Expansion Fragment Plane

The Infinite Expansion Fragment Plane revolves around the enhanced Robe of The Beauty (Infinite), which now empowers allies with a damage boost based on the collective Cosmic Fragments amassed.

Normally with the Robe of Beauty, you’d have to deal with a trade-off: either stockpile Cosmic Fragments to amplify your team’s damage or spend them within Domain – Respites to purchase blessings. But in this plane, even expended Cosmic Fragments still count towards the Robe of The Beauty (Infinite)’s damage-boosting effect.

Similar to the first plane, you’ll face a Domain: Adventure challenge requiring you to break 30 barrels within a time limit. Once again, use either Jingliu (for her AoE ice technique) or Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae (for his dash technique). If you don’t have access to either, this challenge can seem impossible. Fortunately, we have Jingliu at home — here’s a video guide on how you can fully clear this challenge using Herta.

Make sure to prioritize acquiring the Gold Coin of Discord (Infinite) and Society Ticket (Infinite). Both will rapidly snowball your Cosmic Fragment balance.

Follow-Up Attack Team

Path: Elation | Blessings: Elation and The Hunt

The Follow-Up Attack Team capitalizes on the Lightning and Fire vulnerabilities of the third plane. The team’s strategy is the same as it was in the first plane: consecutive highly damaging follow-up attacks. The main difference is the Fire vulnerability in this zone, which makes Topaz and Himeko especially effective additions.

Their effectiveness is boosted significantly by the Robe of The Beauty, which increases the damage of every DoT stack.

Guinaifen	Guinaifen serves as a very synergistic partner to Kafka, being able to easily and very quickly apply Burn DoT. Her Talent ‘PatrAeon Benefits’ also applies an Impair that further increases all damage that enemies receive after being burnt, making Kafka’s abilities hurt all the more.
Silver Wolf	Silver Wolf is able to significantly amplify the damage dealt by your DoTs by reducing the defenses of enemies. You can also substitute Silver Wolf for Asta, who is able to both buff allies and assist by rapidly breaking enemy toughness bars.

The Shattered Star Bait (Infinite) Curio enhances this blessing hunt by providing an extra blessing with every Trotter caught, turning the act of capture into a very rewarding endeavor. To optimize the capturing process, use Topaz and Numby if possible, as they ensure Trotters won’t escape.

Imaginary Hyper Carry Team

For the fourth plane’s challenges, the Imaginary Hyper Carry Team will be your trump card. Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae stands as the team’s ace, delivering high Imaginary damage to exploit the weaknesses in this stage. Assisted by Bronya’s buffs and turn-boosting prowess, and Pela’s defense debuffs, Imbibitor Lunae is sure to strike with devastating force repeatedly.

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae	Imbibitor Lunae capitalizes on his Enhanced AoE Imaginary attacks to quickly dispense of foes. His high innate Crit stats, his impressive AoE and single-target damage, along with his attacks’ significant amounts of toughness shred, makes him indispensable as a Hyper Carry DPS character. If you can’t use Imbibitor Lunae, Welt is able to serve as an alternative DPS that trades some damage for debilitating debuffs.
Bronya	Bronya plays a key support role, enhancing Imbibitor Lunae’s capabilities while granting him additional actions — allowing you to maintain your offensive.
Pela	Pela takes care of the debuffer role, ensuring the enemy’s defenses are lowered, amplifying the overall damage output of the team, especially Imbibitor Lunae’s already-heavy hits.

Each of these Blessings can be enhanced up to nine times, offering a significant boost in potency. The focus here is on strategic enhancement: concentrate on acquiring and upgrading one or two of these Infinite Blessings to enhance your team’s potential to the limit.

Jingliu Hyper Carry Team

Path: The Hunt or Remembrance | Blessings: The Hunt, Remembrance, Abundance

The Jingliu Hyper Carry Team takes advantage of the powerful event-exclusive Blessings like Ultimate Experience: Sentimentality (Infinite) and Imperial Reign (Infinite) to turn Jingliu into an unstoppable one-woman army. But having allies does make things go a bit easier, which is where characters like Bronya and Pela come in.

Character	Explanation
Jingliu	Jingliu shines as the primary DPS, harnessing her unique Spectral Transmigration to immediately take turns and ramp up damage with an impressive 50% CRIT Rate boost. Her synergy with teammates, especially with the likes of Bronya and Blade, allows for a highly dynamic offense, ensuring that her role as a carry is not just about consistent high output but also about elevating the team’s overall damage potential.
Bronya	Bronya acts as a pivotal support, granting Jingliu extra turns and augmenting her ATK and CRIT DMG. Her skill set aligns perfectly with Jingliu’s action-advancing capabilities, maximizing turn efficiency and DPS output. Alternatively, you can swap her out for Blade. This will take the focus away from Jingliu, but will provide you with a second source of AoE attacks — which may prove useful, particularly in the later stages of the Final Trial, where there are multiple high-priority targets.
Pela	Pela, or alternatively Silver Wolf, serves as the debuffer. Her DEF reduction complements Jingliu’s high damage potential, even more so if your Jingliu is equipped with the Genius of Brilliant Stars Relic Set.

This Follow-Up Team is specifically tailored to combat the final boss of the fifth plane, The Ebon Deer. Herta is here to dispatch the branches summoned by the Deer, ensuring it is unable to restore health or charge up its stronger attacks. Meanwhile, Topaz, with Numby’s aid, zeroes in on the Ebon Deer itself, taking advantage of its Fire weakness.
