Bitcoin and Ethereum Remain Supported, SOL Rallies

• Bitcoin price is struggling to settle above USD 44,200.
• Ethereum is facing resistance near USD 3,150, XRP is consolidating near USD 0.950.
• SOL rallied over 6% and surpassed USD 145.

Bitcoin price moved above the USD 42,500 and USD 43,500 levels. BTC even broke the USD 44,000 level, but there was no continuation above USD 44,500. It is currently (13:12 UTC) consolidating below USD 44,000, with a major support near USD 43,200.

Similarly, most major altcoins are facing hurdles. ETH climbed higher above USD 3,000, but it is facing resistance near USD 3,150. XRP is consolidating near USD 0.950, while ADA corrected lower despite multiple positive news.

Bitcoin price

After a steady increase, bitcoin price failed to gain pace above USD 44,200. BTC failed to test USD 44,500 and corrected lower. It traded below USD 44,000, but the bulls are protecting USD 43,500. The next key support is near USD 43,200, below which there is a risk of a move towards the USD 42,500 support. 

On the upside, the price is facing resistance near USD 44,200. The first key resistance is near USD 44,500, above which there are chances of a sustained upward move in the coming sessions.

Ethereum price

Ethereum price gained momentum above the USD 3,000 and USD 3,050 resistance levels. ETH climbed above USD 3,120, but it failed to surpass USD 3,150. It is now consolidating gains and trading well above the USD 3,000 support. A downside break below USD 3,000 could push the price towards USD 2,880.

If there is a fresh increase and the price clears USD 3,150, it could even climb above the USD 3,200 resistance zone in the near term.

ADA, LTC, DOGE, and XRP price

Cardano (ADA) is stable and trading near the USD 2.20 support level. An initial resistance is near the USD 2.30 and USD 2.32 levels. A clear break above the USD 2.32 level could set the pace for a larger increase. In this case, the price could rise towards the USD 2.50 level.

Litecoin (LTC) is consolidating above the USD 150 level. An initial resistance is near the USD 155 level. A clear break above the USD 155 may possibly take the price towards the USD 165 level. On the downside, the USD 145 level is a short-term support.

Dogecoin (DOGE) is trading in a range above the USD 0.200 level. It seems to be facing resistance near USD 0.208 and USD 0.210. The first key resistance is near USD 0.212, above which the price might rise towards the USD 0.220 level. The next major resistance on the upside is near the USD 0.232 level.

XRP price is trading above the USD 0.950 pivot level. An initial hurdle for the bulls is near the USD 0.988 level. The main resistance for a steady increase is USD 1.00. A close above USD 1.00 could open the doors for a move towards the USD 1.12 level.

Other altcoins market today

Many altcoins are up over 5%, including ALGO, SOL, FIL, BCHA, CRV, DYDX, and XDC. Meanwhile, LINK, TFUEL, ONE, MKR, and XTZ are down over 4%.

To sum up, bitcoin price is showing positive signs above USD 43,200. However, BTC must clear USD 44,200 and USD 44,500 to continue higher.
