The Paraguayan government has carried out confiscation operations of thousands of illegal crypto mining units at Salto del Guairmen. This action came after the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) succeeded in detecting unmeasured electrical connections in the region.

According to ADE, the action was carried out after the use of artificial intelligence and analysis of electricity distribution to identify electrical theft which is estimated to be worth 1.1 billion guarani per month. In addition to confiscating thousands of crypto mining units, the government also secured five transformers at the site.
