More Than Just a Game? New Era for SHIB

• New updates regarding the Shiba Eternity game stunned the SHIB ecosystem lately.
• The Shiba Eternity game is now launched yet but closed better will soon go live.

The Shiba Eternity, an upcoming Play-To-Earn (P2E) game in the Shiba Inu ecosystem has been hailed as a game-changer for SHIB, Shibarium, and BONE. Shiba Inu’s marketing lead Lucie emphasized the importance of the game to Shibarium, SHIB, and BONE in a post on X.

Lucie attached a short clip to the post, showcasing Shiba Eternity’s gameplay and outlining several features of the game. For now, the game only has a mobile version, with over 100,000 downloads, as mentioned in our earlier article.

However, Shiba Inu ecosystem developers have begun working to integrate Shiba Eternity with the Shibarium blockchain. Lucie says the integration with Shibarium is anticipated to change digital gaming and ownership.

“Shiba Eternity will be our first game to fully run on Shibarium. This game will be a big step forward,” noted Angel, Shib Games lead. Furthermore, Lucie highlighted other features of the game, especially as regards benefits for Shiba Inu’s ecosystem tokens, BONE and SHIB.

Specifically, the Marketing lead said the game will utilize BONE for all transactions conducted on the blockchain. This will lead to the burn of the SHIB token, thus adding value to the ecosystem. As previously mentioned in our report, the BONE token was initially created to provide rewards to SHIB holders. However, the objective was later modified to facilitate SHIB burns using the Shibarium Layer-2 solution.

As a result, the BONE token is now used to pay transaction fees across all Shibarium-based projects, including the upcoming Web3 version of Shiba Eternity.  Lucie noted that users interested in playing this game will need to own Shiboshi NFTs while they await the utilization of the SHEboshi token.

Shiba Eternity’s NTF Plans

Upon successful integration of Shiba Eternity with Shibarium, the game’s card will be converted to Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). They can be stored in smart wallets and traded subsequently on the upcoming Shib marketplace. Each card will be designed uniquely, meaning no two cards will have the same characteristics, making them more valuable to players.

Other features such as an improved interface, a better reward system, and a new tournament format, will also be added to the game to make it more fun to play. As revealed in our recent report, the game was officially launched in October 2022 and has recorded over 500,000 players. 

Only Shib Army members who have staked LEASH or certain NFTs will be allowed to access the Web3 version of Shiba Eternity, which will be in closed beta. Notwithstanding, Lucie says loyal players transitioning from the Web2 to Web3 version will get a special appreciation gift pack. 

Shiba Eternity’s closed beta is expected to commence by next quarter, However, there is no exact date regarding when the testing will go live. The Shiba Inu ecosystem team will grant the public access to the testing once the closed beta is concluded.
