Croatia Osiguranje’s LAQO Launches Ripple (XRP) Payment Option for Its Car Insurance Services

LAQO has become the first insurance company in Croatia to offer cryptocurrency payment options.

Croatia Osiguranje’s LAQO has announced a partnership with fintech company Electrocoin. The company announced today that the partnership would enable its users to directly purchase Compulsory and Kasko car insurance digitally using selected cryptocurrencies. 

At the moment, the company supports 13 cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE), tether (USDT), etc. 

According to a recent announcement, all crypto payments will be processed via Electrocoin’s platform, PayCek, which will help keep users secure. 

With the addition of cryptocurrencies, LAQO users can now make payments for their car insurance services simply, quickly, and smartly.

Commenting on the development, Ana Zovko, Director of the Digital Development Sector of Croatia osiguranje, said the company had become the first insurance firm to make crypto payment provisions. 

“LAQO is the first insurance company in the Republic of Croatia to introduce payment with cryptocurrencies, which has brought us even closer to our more digital users, offering them a completely new shopping experience,” Zovko said. 

She added that the company has been at the forefront of introducing essential innovation to cater to the needs of its growing client base while encouraging innovation throughout the market. 

Total Croatia News explained that LAQO users who want to make payments using emerging assets could do so by selecting the option when purchasing their car insurance from the website. 

After accepting the terms and conditions, the amount of crypto in Kuna is displayed, and the user will be asked to select the desired crypto. In addition, the user will also provide a few details, like an email address. 

The next step is to scan the QR code displayed on the screen from a cryptocurrency wallet, and the payment will be marked complete.
