Big Eyes, Shiba Inu and BNB: 3 Charitable Tokens In The Doge-Eat-Doge World Of Crypto

I will be looking at three cryptocurrencies that have had a big impact on charities: Shiba Inu (SHIB), BNB (BNB), and Big Eyes (BIG), and analysing which crypto is worth investing in to pay it forward whilst growing your wealth.

Vitalik Buterin: Inu Better Than To Take The Shiba

Shiba Inu (SHIB) has run charitable campaigns in the past, such as an Amazon Smile campaign to rescue Shiba Inu dogs, but its biggest impact through charity was due to Vitalik Buterin, one of the co-founders of Ethereum.

At its launch, Shiba Inu gifted 50% of its coins to Buterin as a marketing stunt. He burned 90% of the tokens gifted to him and gave the remaining 50 trillion SHIB tokens (worth around $1.2 billion at the time) to an India COVID-19 relief fund set up by Polygon (MATIC) founder Sandeep Nailwal.

Although some of the crypto Shiba Inu gifted to Buterin ended up going towards a good cause, it was not the original initial intention. Buterin emphasised for coin makers to donate straight to charities instead of going through him, and the next two coins we will be discussing go straight to helping out a charity.

Binance: Big, Buff Charitable Arm

Binance (BNB)is the world’s current largest blockchain and uses BNB as its native utility token. Binance Charity is the non-profit charitable arm of Binance and regularly focuses on assisting in humanitarian issues, for example, earlier this year they concentrated on assisting UNICEF with children in Ukraine.

Binance Charity recently partnered with Utiva, which is an organisation that aims to educate 50,000 young people in technology and provide scholarships for 1,000 Africans in a 1-year intensive skill training program. The education programme is intended for young people (18 to 35) from more than 19 African countries. The project makes it possible for the upcoming generation of digital leaders to gain knowledge, experience, and skills without letting any financial constraints hinder them.

Binance is doing a lot of great work through Binance Charity, and the sheer scale, impact and frequency of these philanthropic efforts make BNB one of the most charitably active cryptocurrencies in the top 10.

Big Eyes For Saving The Fish!

Big Eyes (BIG) has a very big focus on giving to charities, especially those that benefit the environment. Their main focus is on assisting ocean conservation efforts, especially marine life – a hungry, ambitious cat needs fish to eat! Due to the abundance of plastics contaminating the ocean, researchers estimate between ten and 30 per cent of fish in any sample will be contaminated with microplastics. It is vital to make an effort to assist in conserving the ocean, as humans and cats alike could get exposed to dangerous plastic toxins by eating fish exposed to the broken-down toxins.

This charitable element of Big Eyes is built into its DNA, 5% of all tokens will be held in a visible charity wallet, so the higher value the cryptocurrency gets to, the more of a difference it can make to help save our planet. This is a much more powerful way than solely sticking to one-off donations, as Big Eye’s success will mean success for more charities. Even so, Big Eyes still does carry out regular charitable donations, for example, they recently donated $1000 to PetsforVets, a charity that matches shelter animals with army Veterans.

Big Eyes is one of the cryptocurrencies that is doing what Buterin advised and directly helping out charities. Whilst Shiba Inu used 50% for the promotion of their coin which is not available for the public to buy, Big Eyes has 80% available for the public to buy from the start. Big Eyes is creating a more community-focused token aiming to give back to the community, and charity.

With Binance Charity, as BNB gets more valuable they should have more resources to pursue charity projects, and help out more people. However, the problem is that any increase in BNB does not guarantee more money is being funnelled to helping charities, and this information is not public. With Big Eyes, since the visible charity wallet is already built into the cryptocurrency, whenever the value of Big Eyes goes up, the more Big Eyes can make a positive impact on the charities it chooses. The community are also able to see exactly how much they are helping, as they would be able to keep track of prices.
