Bitcoin and Ethereum Consolidate Gains, LUNA and WAVES Rally

• Bitcoin price tested USD 48,000.
• Ethereum briefly spiked above USD 3,400, XRP failed to settle above USD 0.90.
• LUNA rallied 10% while WAVES jumped 49%.

Bitcoin price remained in a positive zone above the USD 46,500 support zone and even tested the USD 48,000 level. It is currently (04:00 UTC) consolidating gains near USD 47,500 and eyeing more gains above the USD 48,000 level.

Similarly, most major altcoins are trading in a positive zone. ETH extended increase above the USD 3,350 and USD 3,400 levels before correcting lower. XRP spiked and tested the USD 0.90 resistance while ADA tested USD 1.245.

Bitcoin price

After a clear move above USD 46,500, bitcoin price extended its increase. BTC even cleared the USD 47,500 resistance level and spiked above USD 48,000 before the bears appeared. The price corrected lower and traded below USD 47,500. On the downside, an initial support is near the USD 47,000 level. The next major support is near USD 46,500, below which the price might test USD 45,500.

If there is another increase, the price could surge above USD 48,000. The next major resistance is near the USD 48,800 level, above which the price could rise to USD 50,000.

Ethereum price

Ethereum price also gained pace above the USD 3,300 resistance. ETH surpassed the USD 3,350 and spiked above USD 3,400. It is now consolidating near the USD 3,375 level. On the downside, the price might find support near the USD 3,320 level. The next major support is near the USD 3,300 level, below which the price might test the USD 3,250 support zone.

On the upside, the price is facing hurdles near USD 3,400. The next key resistance might be near the USD 3,420 level, above which the price could rise to USD 3,500.

ADA, BNB, SOL, DOGE, and XRP price

Cardano (ADA) extended its increase above the USD 1.22 resistance zone. It tested the USD 1.245 level and corrected toward USD 1.21.

BNB spiked and tested the USD 442 level. There was no test of the USD 450 resistance. It is now consolidating near USD 432, with a key support at USD 425.

Solana (SOL) attempted an increase above the USD 112 resistance. However, there was no upside continuation and the price declined below the USD 108 level before recovering to USD 110.

DOGE climbed above USD 0.150 resistance before correcting lower. It is trading near USD 0.144, with a key support at USD 0.142. The next major support is seen near the USD 0.135 level.

XRP price gained pace and spiked above the USD 0.90 level. However, there was no upside continuation and the price traded below USD 0.88. The main support is now forming near USD 0.85.

Other altcoins market today

Several altcoins are up over 5%, including LUNA, SHIB, WAVES, FIL, THETA, EOS, and GNO. Out of these, WAVES gained over 49% and cleared the USD 45 level, increasing its weekly gains to 47%. LUNA is the second-best performer among the top 100 coins by market capitalization today as it jumped 10% and reached USD 105.

Overall, bitcoin price is trading in a positive zone above the USD 47,000 level. If BTC stays above USD 46,500, it could soon rise toward the USD 48,800 resistance zone. Conversely, it still might correct to USD 45,500.
