CRYPTOCURRENCY Price Today: The crypto market traded on a negative note on Wednesday (March 15), taking the global crypto market to $1.10T, a 0.24% decrease over the last day. The price of the world’s two largest cryptocurrencies also traded in the red today.
The total crypto market volume over the past 24 hours stands at $99.32B, an increase of 9.55%. The total volume in DeFi is $9.75B. This is 9.82% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume. The current volume of all stablecoins is $92.93B, which is 93.57% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume.
The digital asset market saw positive trading on Tuesday (March 14) after days of losses as the collapse of crypto-friendly lender Silvergate triggered a market sell-off taking the global crypto market below the $920 Billion mark at one point.
On Wednesday, Bitcoin price was down 4.61% at US$24,674.31 with a 24-hour trading volume of US$51,538,110,003. The world’s largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization has a live market cap of US$476,663,712,332.
In today’s trade, Ethereum traded 3.36% lower at US$1,678.67, with a 24-hour trading volume of US$14,907,252,915. Ethereum has a live market cap of US$205,425,532,131.
Cryptocurrency price today for Cardano was $0.336, down 7% compared to the previous close. Solana’s price was 4.77% lower at $20.59 today. Meanwhile, crypto prices for XRP, Polygon and Polkadot were down 3.97%, 4.35%, and 3.67% at $0.3687, $1.18, and $6.19 respectively.
At the time of writing, the biggest crypto losers were Threshold (T), OKB (OKB), and Maker (MKR) down 8.24%, 8.04%, and 7.72% respectively.
The price of two meme-based cryptocurrencies Dogecoin and Shiba Inu traded lower today. Dogecoin price was down 3.69% at US$0.073547, with a 24-hour trading volume of US$600,364,062. Meanwhile, Shiba Inu price today declined 4.65% at US$0.000011.
The current CoinMarketCap ranking of Shiba Inu is 14, and the meme coin has a live market cap of US$6,044,885,342.
