Canaan, the renowned manufacturer of bitcoin mining rigs has already raised $50 million via sales in preferred shares which will be used to continue its research and development as well as operations. This recent funding was preceded by another $25 million raise in November 2019, demonstrating investor optimism despite the difficult market environment.

In the year 2012, they celebrated their tenth anniversary by deploying two new mining rigs where one was energy efficient. Moreover, Canaan’s market relevance is demonstrated by the recent deal with Cipher Mining for 16700 miners.
