BNB Chain Ends 2022 With 87% Unique Address Growth

The Pi Bridge utility token, Wrapped Pi (WPI), has launched as an intended bridge between Pi Network and BNB Chain. The token is open for trading on PancakeSwap and is being tracked by CoinMarketCap.

The token is currently trading at $4.04. In order to trade, users must add the token address to PancakeSwap. The price of WPI is speculatory and does not reflect the value of Pi at this time.

Wrapped Pi will operate at a 1:1 ratio with Pi Coin, meaning that once one WPI is created, a Pi Network Pi Coin is locked. The ultimate goal of Wrapped Pi will be a bridge between BNB Chain and Pi Network.

The Wrapped Pi is an unofficial token for the BNB Chain acting as an alternative for the native Pi Coin. No official connection from the Pi Network core team has been established.

When Pi Network’s mainnet becomes active, PiBridge has stated it will integrate with the Pi blockchain. Pi Bridge is home to a Decentralized Application (Dapp) available on iOS and Android with features like farming, staking and earning, lending, and e-commerce.

Pi Bridge states in its docs that it will look to bridge to chains like Polygon and Cosmos in the future. The docs also indicate that more Decentralized Finance (DeFi) products like liquidity pools will be built for Wrapped Pi on BNB Chain. Pi Network and the Pi Community would make a powerful duo with BNB Chain.

A lot of hype has recently come about the Pi Coin. The coin was listed on several centralized exchanges before the unannounced mainnet launch. The Pi Network community has responded with divided opinions.

Pi Network has recently asserted that all the recent token listings have happened independently of the Core Team. The CoinMarketCap page for Wrapped Pi also discloses that Pi Network has faced recent controversy with a disclaimer atop the page.
