In order to help early-stage Web3 and blockchain startups create and scale high-performance, effective, and sustainable innovations for users and the entire industry, BNB Chain (previously known as Binance Coin), the largest smart contract blockchain in Web3 in terms of transaction volume and users, and Google Cloud have joined forces.
The Google for Startups Cloud is a unique programme that offers some assistance to early-stage enterprises looking to build their projects, and The BNB Chain will give exclusive access to a few projects that are currently being built by using its blockchain.
According to a statement released by both parties on Wednesday, this partnership strengthens BNB Chain’s dedication to giving talented Web3 developers the fundamental infrastructure they need to develop their projects and decentralised applications (dApps) into dependable, enduring, and valuable components of the larger ecosystem.
This group of businesspeople will have advantages such as access to Google’s specialised teams in areas like machine learning and artificial intelligence. The recipients will also take part in web3 developer training and join the Google Cloud global customer community group.
The head of Web3 at Google Cloud, James Tromans, said: “We look forward to working with BNB Chain to give Web3 architects the cleanest cloud environment on which to develop and scale their applications.”
According to Gwendolyn Regina, investment director for BNB Chain, “At BNB Chain, we have been focusing on identifying and supporting innovative Web3 builders, and now by collaborating with Google Cloud, we can help these builders access the open, secure, and carbon neutral cloud infrastructure that’s needed to strengthen and scale their businesses.”
Along with the more than 1,300 decentralised applications (dApps) running on the BNB Chain, the startups have access to Google Cloud services for real-time data encryption and on-demand analysis of on-chain data.
For its part, BNB Chain will expedite access to the Google for Startups Cloud Program for qualified Web3 builders inside its ecosystem, particularly those who successfully complete the MVB (Most Valuable Builder) accelerator programme. In addition to other benefits, this will allow the businesses to contact with members of the Google Cloud Startup Success team and Google’s technical subject matter experts.
“At BNB Chain, we have been focusing on identifying and supporting innovative Web3 builders, and now by collaborating with Google Cloud, we can help these builders access the open, secure, and carbon neutral cloud infrastructure that’s needed to strengthen and scale their businesses,” Gwendolyn Regina, Investment Director at BNB Chain, said. The partnership comes after Google Cloud launched its Web 3 team in May, naming former Citigroup executive James Tromans as its leader. According to Amit Zavery, a vice president at Google Cloud, the team’s objective is to make the Google Cloud Platform the number-one option for blockchain developers, as CNBC reported at the time.
The team was initially tasked with exploring blockchain data in third-party applications and working on initiatives that will enable improved administration of blockchain nodes. Prior to that, Google’s cloud services provided programmers with resources for creating blockchain networks with clients like Dapper Labs, Hedera, and Thera Labs. In the past, the platform integrated with Polygon to enable developers to examine on-chain data.
It’s not the only cloud computing behemoth keeping an eye on the blockchain market, either. Blockchain specialists were hired by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the major cloud computing platform, last year.
