Crypto of the Day: Quant (QNT)

Quant is the top mover cryptocurrency of the day so far. The utility token for the Quant network has performed incredibly well this year and today it saw another miraculous rise.

What is Quant?

Quant network has 1 main goal, to provide seamless interoperability between distributed ledger technologies (DLTs). DLTs are just distributed databases and blockchains like Ethereum and Bitcoin are a subset of DLTs. Public health operations, large corporations, banks and even central governments are starting to move to DLTs over regular databases. The issue arises when all these different entities are using different DLTs and need to send information between each other. Quant’s flagship Overledger OS bridges the gaps. Developers who want to use Overledger pay the company in Quant token to make use of its interoperability.

Quant (QNT) is Up 33% in 24 Hours

Quant was trading at about 95$ yesterday and it shot up to its all-time high of 147$ this morning. The peak didn’t last long and its price fell to about 126$ by the time of writing. This is not the first major move Quant has made recently. It has been massively successful this year. It skyrocketed from about 12$ at the beginning of the year to 90$ by the end of June. It’s difficult to determine if today’s price action will hold. However, if Quant gains further widespread adoption, it could easily succeed.

Why is QNT Moving?

Quant is up massively today, at least partially due to its new listing on the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world. Binance Exchange announced late last night that it will list 2 new tokens: Quant and Clover Finance. Opening Quant up for purchase on the enormous exchange spread access to the token to a much wider audience.
