The value of top cryptocurrencies traded in the green on Thursday, metaverse tokens and meme coins recorded a rise.

By Nidhi Bhardwaj: The top cryptocurrencies traded mixed on 22 December. The value of Bitcoin rose by 0.26 percent to $16,862.66, but remained below the $17,000 mark from last week. The global crypto market cap increased by 0.21 percent to $810.97B, whereas the total crypto market volume plunged by 24.60 percent to $25.23B.

The value of Ethereum rose 0.52 percent to $1,214.79 at the time of writing this article( 1000 IST). Others like EOS gained 1.20 percent to trade at $0.887794, and Dash increased by 1.06 percent to $42.32. The price of Monero grew by 0.11 to $146.89.

In comparison to yesterday’s low, Cardano was boosted by 0.48 percent to $0.253640. Solana and XRP advanced by 0.64 percent and 1.06 percent, respectively.

On Thursday, Helium, Ethereum Classic, Ape Coin, and Toncoin marked maximum gain with 30.41 percent, 5.53 percent, 4.46 percent, and 3.76 respectively. On the other hand, Chain, ImmutableX, Lido Dao, and Algoraland were the top losers.

Meme coin trade mix

Dogecoin grew by 1.63 percent to $0.073727, along with a rise in Shiba Inu’s value by 0.22 percent to trade at $0.000008. Meme coins have certainly boosted in value in the last 24 hours. Contrastingly, the Dogelon Mars value fell by 1.43 percent to $2.89e-7.

Metaverse tokens register gains

The price of Axie Infinity increased by 0.15 percent to $6.83, followed by Decentraland’s spike by 0.69 percent to $0.308124. The metaverse tokens remained in the green. The Sandbox registered gains of 1.27 percent to $0.445523.
