Prominent crypto lawyer John Deaton has unveiled a list of assets that he believes have the best potential for noteworthy performance in the coming bull market, with XRP unsurprisingly making the cut.

In a recent tweet, Deaton disclosed insights on the top 10 cryptocurrencies he is convinced would follow a bullish trajectory in the next 12 months. The legal expert first threw the floor open for crypto enthusiasts to share their choice of digital assets.

Specifically, he asked: “If you had to pick only ten tokens to own for the next 12 months (as a trade), what are they?”

In that line, he revealed the top ten tokens that made up his list, with XRP featuring prominently.

Deaton’s list, curated for the next 12 months with an investing perspective in mind, comprises a diverse selection of tokens that spans well-known giants and promising up-and-comers. Top on the list was Bitcoin (BTC), the pioneer and flagship crypto that continues to dominate the market.

XRP made Deaton’s foremost choice in alternative cryptocurrencies, followed by Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest crypto, often considered the backbone of decentralized finance.

Deaton Prefers XRP to ETH

Significantly, Deaton ranked XRP over ETH, indicating his preference for XRP over the $238 billion valued crypto. Early this month, Deaton disclosed he reduced involvement with Ethereum regarding his investment portfolio. 

In the post, the legal expert stated that in 2021, he had four times more ETH than XRP. However, Deaton proclaimed that as of November 2023, he holds a notably higher amount of XRP than ETH. 

Based on the disclosure, the strategic shift is driven by his firm belief that XRP is on the brink of experiencing substantial growth as the prime contender in the cross-border payments sector.

Other Tokens Deaton is Bullish about

Meanwhile, Quant (QNT), a crypto project associated with blockchain interoperability, made the fourth spot on the lawyer’s preference. The next in line was Render Token (RNDR), which focuses on decentralized graphics rendering. Specifically, RNDR aims to revolutionize the digital content creation industry.

Furthermore, Deaton is confident about Solana (SOL). SOL ranks among the top ten prominent crypto projects alongside XRP and ETH. Other digital assets featured on Deaton’s list include Kaspa (KAS), Avalanche (AVAX), Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR), and Casper (CSPR).
