BNB Chain has partnered with Freetail Hackers for this year’s HackTX hackathon in Austin, Texas. The industry-leading blockchain becomes the official sponsor of HackTX 2022 aiming to attract students to be the future builders of Web3.

HackTX is an annual hackathon held at the University of Texas (UT), Austin. The event is organized by the Freetail Hackers, a group of UT Austin students that are passionate about inspiring others and showcasing their interest in coding and web3 technology.

HackTX 2022 will take place in the UT Austin Campus on Oct. 15 – 16. The in-person event will feature hacking mini-events, workshops by Texas Blockchain, Freetail Hackers meet and greet, and other perks. BNB Chain experts will be available to instruct students in attendance.

The event is open to graduate and undergraduate students above 18 years, including students from other universities. HackTX 2022 is open to coders of different experience levels in the Web3 space that are interested in mentorship and competitions to sharpen their skills.

The program provides experts to teach interested students how to impact the blockchain and Web3 industry with their skills.

HackTX 2022: Event Details and Competition

The hackathon will gather participants to work on projects for prizes, recognition, and exposure to web3 experts. The event will be grouped into three tracks: General, Beginner, and Blockchain, and is presented by Texas blockchain.

Participants in the Blockchain track will compete for over $40K in prizes and grants. Applications for the program ended on Oct. 5, but students can still join during the event. The hackathon will accept a limited number of walk-ins based on capacity and availability after the main check-in period ends, starting from Oct. 15 at 11:00 AM until vacant spaces are occupied OR when it is 5:00 PM.
