Here are Major Developments in Shiba Inu Ecosystem Since 2021

Significant developments have been introduced in the Shiba Inu ecosystem since the summer of 2021 amid the push to advance the project and introduce utility.

Amid its teeming community, the Shiba Inu ecosystem is also known for its continuous developments. Lucie, a SHIB marketing specialist, showcased this fact in a recent update as she published an overview of the project ecosystem for the past two years. 

Shiba Inu Ecosystem Overview

Amid the falling price of SHIB since 2021 and the prevailing bearish crypto market, the development team has kept building and scoring strategic partnerships for the community-driven project. Lucie drew the community’s attention to these developments, triggering numerous exciting reactions. 

Over the past two years since summer 2021:

The prominent community influencer revealed that the Shiba Inu development team, led by Shytoshi Kusama, has had all hands on deck since the Summer of 2021. This resulted in many laudable ecosystem projects and partnerships, helping position Shiba Inu for further growth and adoption. 

To create utility for SHIB and drive its adoption, the team launched Shiboshis in October 2021. Notably, Shiboshis is a collection of 10,000 unique non-fungible tokens (NFTs) built on the Ethereum blockchain. 

Sold out within 34 minutes of its launch, the Shiboshis are designed to be different from one another, especially in terms of accessories, capabilities, headwear, and clothes. As earlier reported by The Crypto Basic, this marked the entry of Shiba Inu into the web3 and NFT world. 

Doggy DAO and Strategic Partnerships

This development was closely followed by the introduction of BONE as the gas token of the upcoming Shiba Inu layer-2 scaling solution, Shibarium, in January 2022. This happened hand-in-hand with the introduction of the Doggy DAO, which brought voting rights to community members. 

However, the Doggy DAO Phase 1, labeled as DAO 1 on ShibaSwap, was officially launched in February 2022, as previously published. In the same month, Shiba Inu sealed a strategic partnership with Welly and collaboration with John Richmond. Meanwhile, April 2022 marked Shiba Inu’s entry into the metaverse realm following the advent of SHIB: The Metaverse project.

Interestingly, Shiba Eternity went live for public testing in Indonesia in August 2022. However, the revolutionary Shiba Inu game fully launched in November 2022. The development continued building, rolling out the Wagmi temple and metaverse website shortly after Shiba Eternity went live.

More Developments in 2023

It bears noting that more positive developments have been recorded in 2023. As highlighted by Lucie, the existing Shibarium Discord channel was created by Kusama in March 2023 to enhance community interactions. Subsequently, Shiba Inu scored more project partnerships, including Tangem wallets, Vodka, and Rocknroll. 

Notably, Bad Idea AI aligned with Shiba Inu in July 2023, becoming the project’s latest official partner. However, the newest development in the ecosystem is the launch of Shibarium Beta Bridge in preparation for the mainnet launch of Shibarium. As reported, the L2 solution is expected to go live in August during the Blockchain Futurist Conference in Toronto.
