The Solana Beach School District and the Solana Beach Schools Foundation hosted the annual Discovery Fest at Solana Pacific School on May 4, a vibrant celebration of learning, exploration and community engagement.
Students, families, educators, business sponsors and community members came together for a day of interactive exhibits and activities including an engineering competition sponsored by Aevex Aerospace.

Students showcased their smarts with science experiments, STREAM talks and robotics
demonstrations.
“We are honored to partner with the Solana Beach Schools Foundation to host the annual Discovery Fest and provide our students with an opportunity to shine,” said Superintendent Jennifer Burks in a news release. “This event not only celebrates the accomplishments of our students but also fosters a deeper sense of community and collaboration.”

The theme of this year’s Discovery Fest was “Bee the Change” recognizing the importance of environmental stewardship and community involvement, encouraging attendees to take action and make a positive impact on the world around them.
