Montgomery beats Errani to make second round

American Robin Montgomery beat Italian Sara Errani, the second seed, 6-3, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Argentina Open at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club.

Montgomery, ranked No 224, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Solana Sierra and American qualifier Varvara Lepchenko next.
