Nisun, Haikou Jinlvguo Team on Supply Chain

Nisun International, which provides supply chain solutions, is partnering with Haikou Jinlvguo Fruit Production and Marketing Cooperative on agriculture supply chains, according to a press release.

Nisun will connect Haikou Jinlvguo with reliable sales channels to help it boost sales volume and market shares, the release stated. Nisun will also apply its tech to the agricultural supply chain, applying modern logistics and financial technology.

Nisun will operate as a bridge between core enterprises and the market, putting together a platform for agriculture companies to share upstream and downstream information on product market supply and demand, transactions, prices and more, according to the release.

Nisun International Chairman and CEO Xiaoyun Huang said in the release that the partnership will “explore the logistics, capital flow and information flow in the supply chain, using the relationship between the core enterprise and the principal supply chain to improve the credit capacity of other members, prevent misinformation and improve the industrial chain, helping those in low credit groups obtain loans.”

“This change will also promote further cooperation in the supply chain management and resource sharing among Nisun and core enterprises in the upstream and downstream of supply chains,” he said in the release.

In other agriculture news, Deere & Company announced in August that it planned to buy Bear Flag Robotics for $250 million.

Bear Flag Robotics, started in 2017, develops autonomous tech for driving services and works with existing machines. Deere’s buy shows that it intends to keep moving forward with automation tech on farms, with its goal being to build smarter machines.

John Deere Chief Technology Officer Jahmy Hindman said at the time that the company sees automation as a way to let farmers “leverage their resources strategically to feed the world and create more sustainable and profitable operations.”
