Sami Chlagou – Cross The Ages Will Transform The Gaming, NFT & Crypto Space

Joining me in the studio for today’s livestream is a man who is taking the world of Web3 gaming by storm. In fact, you could go so far as to say he’s setting the agenda. He is the CEO and co-founder of Cross the Ages, undoubtedly one of the most exciting and revolutionary projects in the space.

Sami Chlagou is a video game developer, entrepreneur and movie producer who is behind a unique and innovative metaverse and digital collectable card game that launched on the Polygon Network back in April, spending 15 weeks at the top of charts in the App Store.

It’s little wonder, given Sami’s knowledge and experience, forged in the world of video game technology where he has been at the forefront of the huge boom in gaming we’ve seen in recent years across the globe.

It’s a multi-billion dollar industry, larger itself than Hollywood or the NFL and in 2020 the global gaming audience spent approximately $54 billion on additional in-game content, something that is expected to rise to $75 billion by 2025.

Sami’s company has produced more than 50 video games for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox, Steam and Android to name but a few, and with that influence and understanding, he was able to begin his most ambitious project to date.

Cross the Ages is an enormous undertaking and one that is causing seismic waves through the blockchain industry and if Sami and his highly experienced team’s plans continue at this pace, will inevitably help bridge the gap between the worlds of gaming and cryptocurrency, adding huge potential and profit to this burgeoning industry.

Cross the Ages itself is a multi-layered concept. Firstly, it is an application for collecting game cards, but in reality it is so much more. It is a dystopian universe, brought to life by a seven-volume series of free-to-read books that combine fantasy and sci-fi and chronicle the story of two worlds Arkhanis and Orbitalia thrust together in a desperate plight to avoid mass extinction.

Players are able to step head first into this all-encompassing world and the playing experience is based on collecting cards through well thought out strategy. A Metaverse where developers, digital artists and gamers can contribute to the success of the project by building new cities, creating new games, earning valuable NFTs through adventures, and gathering real-world card collectibles.

Each of the Cross The Ages books has a corresponding set of 365 digital cards with varying levels of scarcity in a move that Sami believes separates Cross the Ages from other Web3 games, by leveraging the power of blockchain technology to provide players with true ownership of their in-game assets.

Sami has brought together a team of more than 180 world class individuals, including an expert team of game developers, alongside renowned science fiction authors and artists renowned for their work on iconic franchises such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and the Marvel Universe.

This in itself underlines just how much talent is moving into the space on a week by week basis. People from all kinds of industries are finding opportunities they had previously never imagined possible, in the world of cryptocurrency and the blockchain.

Sami for his part has only just begun, and with plans to introduce competitive elements, esports tournaments, and cash prizes, upcoming card collections and much more, the goal is to keep players engaged and excited.
