Shiba Inu NFT Metaverse to Bring Shiba Cities, Shiba Pets NFT, and More: No Use of SHIB Token?

After the long period of speculation as to what would happen with Shiba Inu, it seems like the new ShibafriendNFT metaverse is pushing utility for the “Shiba Inu” name. With that, ShibafriendNFT announces an upcoming Shiba Inu metaverse. However, it seems like a different crypto coin will be used.

What is the ShibafriendNFT Metaverse?

As narrated in the story on Yahoo Finance, the upcoming ShibafriendNFT Metaverse will be packed with Shiba Cities NFT, buildings, and landmarks. As per the article, the ShibafriendNFT metaverse will include Shiba Pets NFT capable of 3D movements and can easily run and roam around.

Metaverse game also gives players different things to do to earn rewards. As per the article by Yahoo Finance, this would become the first “Shiba Play-to-Earn game” in the ecosystem. 

Will the Game be a Dream Come True for SHIB Hodlers?

So, is the game directed at Shiba Inu hodlers? This is quite a tricky question since an article on Medium by Shibafriend themselves talks about the use of the GEMS token within the ecosystem.

As per the article, GEMS works with a lot of different GAMEFI projects that are expected to be hosted on Shibafriend’s platform. This would allow gamers, players, companies, managers, sponsors, fans, streamers, influencers, broadcasters to monetize their time and potentially win through GEMS.

Big News for the ShibafriendNFT Project

Another big news surrounding Shibafriend is the investment from Aurora Ventures. To add, the Blockchain Agnostic Venture Capital invested GEMS in the project. The medium article referred to GEMs as a DAO guild used to bring GameFi towards esports and physical gaming locations.

As per the project’s roadmap, however, a different token will also be used since in Q4 of 2021, the Shibafriend SHF Coin was just minted on the Binance Smart Chain. This could be the project’s coin instead of the actual Shiba Inu tokens themselves.

When Will the ShibafriendNFT Metaverse Come Out?

As per the roadmap, an IDO and LaunchPad are expected to happen sometime during the first quarter of 2022. Additionally, the Metaverse Beta Testing and the Metaverse Game launch are expected to happen within the same quarter.

For those that are still a bit skeptical about the project, it has already been listed on CoinMarketCap with the list of people involved, from Alan Yeap, the CEO with 10 years experience in building mobile games, to the CMO, Norman Tan, with nine years of experience building mobile games.

As seen on CoinMarketCap, SHF is already on 32 watchlists, and as a BSC game, its affordability would allow more and more players to try it out compared to most Ethereum based blockchain games.
