Shiba Inu team warns of scams amid new SHEboshi token

The Shiba Inu (SHIB) team has once again alerted its community to the heightened scamming attempts in the wake of the debut of the new SHEboshi token.

In a Feb. 24 post on X, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, expressed concerns for SHIB holders, spotlighting the deceptive tactics employed by fraudsters.

 According to her, investors are being targeted by bogus giveaways, especially following the successful introduction of SHEboshi, which follows the DN404 standard—a hybrid of ERC-20 and ERC-721 token benefits.

Lucie clarified that Shiba Inu is not conducting any airdrops and iterated that any such claims should be considered fraudulent. She further advised token holders to authenticate any promotional information by visiting the official Shiba Inu channels on Telegram and Discord.

In addition to her warning, she also provided information to help the community stay informed and safeguard their investments through verified updates.

It has come to light that a fraudulent scheme masked as ‘@thesheboshis’ is attempting to mislead and exploit the Shiba Inu community by falsely associating with the SHIB-backed Sheboshis project. 

On Feb. 22, the Shibarmy scam alerts team underscored the importance of not engaging with the posts from this deceptive project as they contain potential phishing threats.

Lucie reiterated the importance of due diligence in the crypto space and pointed out that scams can result in significant financial losses.

She encouraged SHIB investors and users alike to thoroughly investigate before linking their wallets to any new platforms. 

This vigilance is especially critical for those enticed by the allure of new opportunities in rapidly evolving markets like that of Sheboshis, which quickly sold out during its second minting. 

The community is urged to watch out for sham airdrops, a common scam tactic, and to report any suspicious accounts to help protect one another within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
