Leading exchange Binance has announced the launch of Binance Japan, a new platform specially tailored to cater to the Japanese market. This milestone is expected to elevate Japan’s journey in the world of Web3 as it seeks to provide an unparalleled crypto experience to its Japanese users.

Formerly known as SAKURA Exchange BitCoin, Inc. (SEBC), the licensed local cryptocurrency exchange acquired by Binance in November 2022 has now rebranded as Binance Japan Inc.

Binance Japan offers a comprehensive range of services, including spot trading and Earn products. Users in Japan can now access 34 tokens for spot trading, and notably, BNB will be available in the country for the first time. Tokens initially available for spot trading include BTC, ETH, BNB, ADA, ALGO, ASTR, ATOM, AVAX, AXS, BAT, BCH, CHZ, DAI, DOGE, DOT, ENJ, ETC, IOST, LINK, LTC, MATIC, MKR, ONT, QTUM, SAND, SHIB, SOL, TRX, XLM, XRP, XTZ, and ZIL.

To ensure a smooth transition, existing users in Japan registered with the global platform will receive a separate notice after August 14 to initiate the migration process.

This move is aimed at strengthening the development of Japan’s digital-asset market, given the country’s strong inclination towards technological innovation and growing interest in blockchain technology.
