Stussy and Birkenstock Announce Salona Slip On

Another Stüssy and BIRKENSTOCK collaboration is coming — and this time, it’s a brand-new silhouette. Dubbed the Solana, the new shoe takes inspiration from the footwear brand’s classic one-strap Kyoto style, reimagining it in a new way.

Marking the duo’s third team-up, the new slip-on silhouette features BIRKENSTOCK’s signature molded cork footbed alongside an oversized suede upper, complete with a shearling lining and hook and loop fastener. Landing in a selection of three colorways, the Solana is available in “Bone,” “Caramel” and “Washed Green,” with each shoe featuring embossed Stüssy branding.

Stüssy’s new Birkenstock team-up would follow the release of the duo’s Boston clogs from 2021 and 2020. In the past, Stüssy’s takeover of the clog has resulted in corduroy uppers of “Anthracite” and “Bone,” alongside smooth suede iterations in “Bone,” “Caramel” and “Dusty Pink.”

For Stüssy, the collaboration follows the release of team-ups with Clarks Originals and Tekla, while Birkenstock’s collaborative roster has since expanded to also include Tekla, alongside Beams and Dior. News of its joint venture with Stüssy also lands as Birkenstock recently went public and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

The new Stüssy x Birkenstock collab is due to be released worldwide on November 24 at select chapter stores and the official website, plus a November 27 release via 1774.
