This game backs in-game NFTs with physical golden eggs

Backed by the FRUITS Eco-Blockchain Project, the upcoming Web3 game Golden Egg Wonderland will allow players to exchange in-game NFTs for real golden eggs.

Since its inception, Web3 gaming has become a crucial part of the blockchain ecosystem. Blockchain-based games still hold a 36% dominance in on-chain wallet activity over nonfungible tokens (NFTs), decentralized finance (DeFi) and social networks, according to the latest Q2 report from DappRadar and BGA.

Players’ ability to utilize gameplay mechanics to collect in-game tokens and NFTs that can be exchanged into real-world value, also known as the play-to-earn (P2E) trend, is a primary driver for the growth of the Web3 gaming space.

As with any new trend, blockchain-based P2E games continue to evolve to benefit players. Thanks to the traceability and transparency of digital ownership provided by blockchain technology, in-game items can be valued and treated as their real-world counterparts.

P2E evolved to play for gold

Powered by the FRUITS Eco-Blockchain Project, the upcoming Web3 game Golden Egg Wonderland aims to bring digital entertainment one step closer to the real world with the “play-for-gold” gameplay where physical golden eggs can be redeemed with NFT certificates that can be attainable within the game world.

Inspired by Aesop’s Fables, Golden Egg Wonderland will let players capture, raise and crossbreed birds to get NFT eggs. Each new in-game egg can potentially come out as a golden egg. If a player receives such an egg after breeding, they receive a redeemable NFT certificate that makes them eligible for a physical golden egg of the same size and serial number.

After joining the game on iOS or Android devices with a FRUITS Wallet, players will be able to capture eggs or birds using the game map as a guide. Additionally, players can list their raised birds for sale, purchase birds from other sellers and trade eggs on the FRUITS NFT Marketplace.

AI-operated gold reserves

The monthly production rate and maximum production of gold eggs are determined using artificial intelligence (AI) based on the amount of gold held in the real world. In the crossbreeding process, eggs’ rarity is influenced by a coefficient derived from the birds’ status and rarity. The gold supply will be posted monthly on the official website and social media pages.

Players will be encouraged to raise and crossbreed birds, increasing their chances of receiving a Golden Egg NFT, which players can exchange for physical gold at designated stores.

The roadmap to P4G

The beta version of Golden Egg Wonderland launches in July 2023 and features the basics of the game, including capturing birds and eggs, hatching, raising and crossbreeding. The developer team plans to add bird-on-bird battles and related PvP rewards, a friends list, user-to-user trade functions and traceability of gold supply features as part of the first phase of a year-long roadmap.

Location-specific features that are enabled by GPS location sync will be added in the second phase, which starts in late 2023. The game will determine the type and strength of birds that appear based on the player’s location and release NFT tickets allowing the player to go to different in-game countries based on the distance they’ve walked.

The next phase will see Golden Egg Wonderland’s official launch on iOS and Android platforms, along with the opening of a physical store for exchanging gold egg NFTs with physical gold in early 2024. Following the full launch of the game, players will be able to build their islands using stamina or FRTS, the native token of the FRUITS Eco-Blockchain Project.
