Top cryptocurrency prices today: Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB recover after up to 8% plunge

New Delhi: Key cryptocurrencies recovered some lost ground in Wednesday’s trade after falling over up to 8 per cent in the last seven days. Bitcoin, the largest crypto by market value, was trading 0.8 per cent higher at $39,124.58 after falling 5.8 per cent in the last seven days. Ethereum advanced 2.67 per cent in the last 24 hours to $2,617.65. The second largest cryptocurrency by market value has fallen nearly 4 per cent in the last one week.

Tether, the third largest, was almost flat at $1. BNP and USD Coin gained up to 0.4 per cent.

Cardano, Solara, Avalanche, Polkadot and Binance USD rose up to 2.5 per cent. Terra, the seventh largest crypto currency by m-cap, tanked 6.3 per cent to $87.46. Dogecoin edged 0.10 per cent lower at $0.11.

The global cryptocurrency market cap rose to $1.74 trillion mark, rising 0.77 per cent over the last 24 hours. Total cryptocurrency trading volume jumped 19.5 per cent to $87.82 billion, as per Coinmarketcap.

The Enforcement Directorate is probing seven cryptocurrency-related money laundering cases and has so far attached assets worth more than Rs 135 crore, the government informed the Parliament on Monday. It has said multiple cases have emerged where black money generated in India has been laundered out of the country after converting them into cryptocurrencies, TOI reported.

RUNE has broken the downtrend since the start of March. The monthly kick start was on a bullish note wherein it recovered over 100% and eliminated all odds. The parabolic recovery has crossed above the important EMAs (20, 50, 100, and 200). The rising 20-day EMA makes a bullish crossover with the 50-day EMA, giving buyers an additional advantage. The daily uptrend line (73) on the Relative Strength Index shows that the bulls are gaining momentum. Currently, the price is between $6.5 support and $8.3 resistance. However, it is expected to be pulled back by the weekend. At the time of writing, RUNE was trading at about $7.7. The coin should eventually stabilize at around $8 and above.
