Shiba Inu has released the fourth edition of its weekly Shib Magazine, alongside a massive giveaway of 7K NFT covers to lucky winners.

7K NFT Giveaway Announced

Like previous editions of Shib Magazine, the team also announced a giveaway of 7,000 NFT covers to lucky winners.

It is worth mentioning that the Shiba Inu team had previously announced NFT cover giveaways for previous editions of its magazine. According to Shiba Inu, its community minted a whopping 5,000 NFT covers in five hours during the last edition.

Following the massive interest in these digital collectibles, the number of NFT giveaways accompanying the fourth edition of the magazine spiked to 7,000.

“This week, we are going bigger and wider. 7000 NFT covers will be up for grabs, so don’t miss out,” Shiba Inu noted.

People who missed the previous giveaways can participate in the new event. The NFTs will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis.

In the fourth edition of Shib Magazine, Shiba Inu shared exciting updates regarding ongoing events within its ecosystem while giving investors five categories of tokens they can invest in ahead of the bull run.

CoinMerge Expands Support for Shiba Inu

Leading decentralized exchange CoinMerge has always declared its support for Shiba Inu-related products. The DEX previously listed BONE on its platform and selected the token as the first asset to leverage its newly updated features, including GIGA charts and an asset tracker.

CoinMerge is taking its support for Shiba Inu to the next level, as it has now embarked on a mission to move its entire operations to Shibarium, the cryptocurrency’s L2 scaling solution.

Exclusive Interview With Shiba Inu Lead Developer 

Meanwhile, the team behind Shib Magazine interviewed Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, regarding the cryptocurrency’s path to true decentralization. Kusama shed light on its commitment to helping Shiba Inu achieve absolute decentralization. 

He disclosed that the team intends to achieve this feat by instilling democratic governance across all Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens, including SHIB, BONE, LEASH, and the upcoming TREAT.

Consequently, all token holders will have equal rights in the decision-making process within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. In addition, Kusama also envisions a system where community members participate in leadership selection, with protocols like self-sovereign identity (SSI) put in place to ensure a bot-free and transparent election.

Kusama disclosed how the team plans to protect Shiba Inu holders from the rampant scams in the crypto market. He noted that the Shiba Inu ecosystem will be protected against scams by combining SSI, privacy guard, and a unique karma system.

Shiba Inu Highlights Recent Milestones

To wrap up the fourth edition of Shib Magazine, Shiba Inu highlighted some of its recent milestones recorded across various projects.

Shiba Inu Addresses Surges to 1.26 Million

The Shiba Inu team detailed how the number of addresses skyrocketed from a mere 8,460 recorded in February 2021 to a massive 1.26 million in November 2023. This represents an astronomical surge of 14,793%. According to data from Etherscan, there are 1,351,691 (1.35 million) Shiba Inu addresses at press time.

Shibarium Daily Transaction Soars 131%

Another notable feat recorded last week is the tremendous surge of Shibarium daily transactions. Per the Magazine, Shibarium’s daily transactions surged from 14,980 on November 20 to 34,670 the following day, marking an increase of 131%.

In the same vein, the total transaction count on Shibarium also hit the 4 million mark. At the time of writing, the total transaction count now stands at 4,224,400 (4.22 million).

Other significant feats recorded last week include BitTrade expanding its support for Shiba Inu by adding SHIB to its lending product.

Furthermore, Shibarium-based decentralized exchange Marswap also added new SHIB and BONE pairs on its platform.
