Jim Carrey Dropped Secret NFT Collection Under Alias “String Bean”

Many celebrities have capitalized on the NFT trend by releasing their own collections, leveraging their icon status to drive community growth. While this has brought new exposure to NFTs, some collections have been criticized due to a perceived lack of effort beyond attaching a famous name to the project. Notorious actor Jim Carrey went the opposite direction, releasing an NFT collection anonymously using his Web3 alias “String Bean”.

WazirX Bank Accounts Unfrozen by Indian Authorities

Earlier this year, Binance and WazirX engaged in a public spat when the India-based exchange was investigated by Indian authorities for potentially dubious activities. After having its funds frozen back in January of this year, Indian authorities unfroze WazirX’s funds and allowed them to resume banking operations in September of 2022.

Chainalysis Helps Police Seize $30M Linked to Ronin Network Hack

While scams and hacks in crypto often remain unsolved, security in the space has significantly tightened as law enforcement and blockchain companies work together to create a safe environment for users. After the infamous Ronin Network hack saw assets worth over $600 million at the time stolen by North Korean hackers, blockchain forensics and data analysis company Chainalysis helped police track and seize $30 million of the funds.

Can Crypto Solve Cannabis Industry’s Banking Problems in USA

Although the cannabis industry has greatly benefitted from relaxed restrictions in the United States, it is still greatly held back by banking and supply chain logistics issues. Due to cannabis remaining federally illegal despite individual state legalization, cannabis companies are unable to use traditional banking to operate, or have access to normal supply and logistics.
