The move comes after Ripple’s (XRP) victory over the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on July 13, 2023. Essentially, the judge ruled that XRP tokens are not securities when being sold to institutional investors.

Many Ripple (XRP) holders were excited over the July 13 verdict, believing it would provide regulatory clarity for XRP and lead to more exchange listings like the potential Robinhood listing. However, the SEC began a formal appeal against Ripple’s (XRP) victory on August 17, the same day the crypto market crashed, sending several tokens into the bearish zone.

Ripple (XRP) skyrocketed to $0.82 on July 15 – a day after its landmark victory over the SEC. Nearly three weeks later, it fell by 24.3% to $0.62 on August 8. By August 17, the SEC’s appeal was announced. Shortly after, the market crashed, driving XRP down by 22.5% to $0.48. 

As of August 24, Ripple (XRP) rose by 6.2% to $0.51 following the rumors of a possible listing by Robinhood. Many analysts believe Ripple (XRP) could rise by 23.5% to $0.63 if Robinhood proceeds to list XRP (XRP) – a move that could make XRP a good crypto to buy now.

Binance Coin (BNB) Holders Fear Possible Exchange Delisting

The crypto community fears that crypto exchanges could begin delisting Binance Coin (BNB) tokens. This comes after the SEC labeled BNB a ‘security’ in a lawsuit against Binance on June 5, 2023.

A similar thing happened when the Bakkt exchange delisted Cardano (ADA) after it was labeled a security by the SEC. Binance Coin (BNB) holders fear BNB’s trading volume will reduce significantly if it’s delisted by exchanges looking to stay on the side of the SEC.

BNB (BNB) was trading at $306.72 on June 4. On June 6, BNB crashed by 9.7% to $276.93 – a day after its landmark lawsuit. Binance Coin’s (BNB) bearish momentum continued, pulling it down by 10.7% to $247.04 on August 2. After the market crash of August 17, Binance Coin (BNB) fell by 12.8% to $215.37. 

Experts say BNB can drop further by 7.7% to $201.45 if exchanges begin delisting BNB over regulatory concerns.
