Xlink, a Bitcoin blockchain bridge, shut down on May 15 after suffering a $10 million hack. The security breach involved its Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain (BSC) endpoints. Xlink quickly reacted to the attack by temporarily suspending its operations. The attacker exploited compromised private keys via a phishing scheme and withdrew $4.3 million without authorization. However, a white hat soon recovered the stolen assets. Approximately $5 million, mostly in LunarCrush tokens, are still locked in the Ethereum blockchain. The LunarCrush team is working closely with Xlink to secure these funds.
