I am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, and on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves) – for 42 hours straight, past MLB’s August 1 Trade Deadline and through the Cubs/Reds game Tuesday night, thanks to your generous donations to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS, etc.), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.
Hour 21 is the halfway mark!

News and Rumors Since the Last Check-In:
The Padres are incredibly hard to suss out. They may not sell at all, and if they do, the price tag on Josh Hader is extremely high.
The Yankees, meanwhile, may sell their impending free agents, if possible.
The Reds added lefty Sam Moll.
Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:
Oh, probably the Padres getting walked off by the Rockies in 10, after themselves loading the bases in the top of the inning with nobody out and failing to score. They are 0-10 in extra-innings this year.
They have so much talent and have so much invested in this year, though, that it’s still very hard to see them sell even after being so on the fence and then a loss like that.
Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:
We’ll see. Happy about Candelario. Happy enough about Cuas as an option. But I would like to see a high-quality lefty reliever, too.
Current Tiredness Level:
8. I sure hope this is as bad as it gets. I want to lay down:
Current Beverage/Stimulant of Choice:
Some kinda Rockstar energy drink. I went to the store. I saw a fruit punch one. I bought it. I’m drinking it.
Current Emotional Status:
The wee hours sometimes bring silliness, sometimes loneliness. The mind is just not quiiiiite right, and although it helps that I KNOW this happens, it’s still an odd time.
Random Thought Passing Through My Mind:
I deserve ice cream. So I will have 3am ice cream.
