Art101 Rethinks The Ethereum Founder’s Likeness

Based Vitalik (BASΞD VITALIK) is a soon-to-come NFT collection by Art101, who have released several collections previously. This collection, in particular, depicts Ethereum’s founder, Vitalik Buterin.

About the BASED VITALIK NFTs

BASΞD VITALIK is a collection of 4962 generative NFTs as eccentric and unapologetic as Vitalik Buterin himself. A hyper-fauvist take on generative PFP NFTs, BASΞD VITALIK is an authentic homage to crypto-royalty. They feature 100 unique traits, including eyewear, hairstyles, jewellery, hats, callbacks, and skin tone variations. Not only is BASΞD VITALIK meme-able, but it’s also unique and authentic.

The BASΞD VITALIK Collection mints publicly on February 22nd at 9 PM PST with a price of 0.06 ETH. However, there will be a presale 4 hours pre-mint for a discounted price of 0.03 ETH. BASED VITALIK will be the first collection in a new line of Art101.io NFT collections called Crypto-icons, based on Cryptocurrency figures and innovators like Vitalik Buterin; including “Fake-Satoshi” and other famous names.

About Vitalik Buterin

BASΞD VITALIK is based on Vitalik Buterin who is a Russian-Canadian programmer who is best known for being the co-founder of Ethereum. Notably, he started his career writing for a site named Bitcoin Weekly in 2011, who offered five bitcoin per article, which at the time was worth $3.50. Five Bitcoins are now worth over $200,000 in total. He wrote for the site until it shut down due to low income. Later, he co-founded his own site with a few others, Bitcoin Magazine, which he worked with as a writer. It was after this, in 2013, that he issued a plan for his project. He dropped out of college to chase his dream of starting Ethereum.
