SOFIA (Bulgaria), March 18 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria’s current account was in deficit of 433 million euro ($478.5 million) at the end of January, compared to a deficit of 39.2 million euro a year earlier, the central bank said on Friday.
The current account deficit in January was equivalent to 0.6% of the gross domestic product (GDP) projected for this year, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a statement.
The deficit in January 2021 was equivalent to 0.1% of last year’s estimated GDP, the BNB added.
