Swipis has been dubbed ‘the adult Tik Tok’ by many of its users. Even the founders have accepted the trending slogan. An app that allows anyone to share adult video content and earn from their clips, it’s swiftly growing. Now the app is hoping to connect adult entertainers to the world of NFTs, Bitcoin, and cryptocurrency.
“We just want to allow content creators to earn as much as possible. Selling your first photo or video exclusively to 1 person or a small group as an NFT can be very lucrative,” wrote a Swipis representative in a recent blog post.
Swipis will soon launch a small educational course for its content creators on how to generate revenue from NFTs. It includes a step by step guide for creating a listing on preferred NFT marketplaces that allow exclusive transactions.
How much can a Nude NFT be sold for?
While OnlyFans has not focused on such marketplaces, Non-Fungible Tokens can fetch thousands to millions of dollars. Though the market is currently in a downtrend, celebrity Katie Cassidy sold her nude digital ‘art’ for $18,000 and upward.
Though Swipis is more of an amateur platform, some of its top performers could fetch more than Cassidy.
Per the blog, “Swipis performers work really hard. It’s no shock for us when a female or male with great aesthetics gets a supporter who will spend $5,000 on them. And their first photos or videos can only happen once. Making these an NFT is a great way to commemorate the moment.”
These totals are not much when compared to Twitch stars like Amouranth being gifted $70k cash, by a random rich fan.
Growth of Swipis
The ‘adult tik tok’ app has seen over 1000% growth in the last 60 days. It expects to have hundreds of thousands of registered users by the end of 2023, possibly surpassing 1-million as content spreads to other platforms.
Currently the application is available only to Amazon FireTV and android users. The development team hopes to expand to other devices in 1st quarter 2022. This will also affect user growth tremendously.
Swipis can be downloaded via its official site. It will be available on various app stores next year.
