With 22 homes in this year’s Richmond Parade of Homes, Chesterfield County is well represented in the annual event.
The Home Building Association of Richmond (HBAR) will showcase a total of 55 new construction homes spanning prices from the $300s to over $1 million in the 71st Annual Richmond Parade of Homes this October.
Richmond Parade of Homes is Virginia’s largest scattered free to the public site home showcase. The self-guided tour of the region’s hottest new construction homes begins on Saturday, Oct. 1, running four weekends – Oct. 1-2, Oct. 8-9, Oct. 15-16 and Oct. 22-23. Hours on those days are from noon to 5 p.m.
The homes are located in the Counties of Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, King William, New Kent, Powhatan and the City of Richmond.
Anyone visiting the Parade can expect a variety of products that include townhomes, condos and single-family homes.
“There is something for everyone,” says Danna Markland, CEO of HBAR. The inventory of homes has grown since the last event.
“Unlike resale inventory, these homes are equipped with the most recent demands in mind,” Markland says. “Spacious and flexible living spaces are top priority in post-pandemic home design where the home does it all, both indoors and out.”
Homes will also showcase current trends.
“People visiting the show will be able to imagine themselves as the chef or entertainer in these homes built for hosting. Wine storage, oversized pantries, dressing rooms and covered terraces and porches are trends that will be on display,” she says.
The Parade of Homes Plan Book is available at Publix and Wawa stores. Visit the website, Richmond- ParadeofHomes.com, for detailed information about the event and the individual homes on tour, including home designs, floor plans and descriptions, detailed directions to each home, and a map.
This year includes homes from Main Street Homes and KLM Building Corp., and as well as the preview of a brand new model from Keel Custom Homes.
